The Tudor Style Architectural Marvel in Bangalore Palace

bangalore-palaceThe Bangalore Palace which is a depiction of Tudor Style was built by Rev. Garrett who was known to be the first principal of the Central High School in Bangalore. Later on the palace was bought over by Chamaraja Wodeyar in 1884.

The beautifully landscaped area that surrounds the palace is home to many events such as musical performances by world famous bands. In addition to these, the palace also is a famous venue for exhibitions and cultural events that take place in the city. The elegant wood carvings and paintings decorate the interior of the palace while fortified towers, gothic style windows and battlements embellish the exterior. The large open square area on the ground floor is full of granite seats that are ornamented with florescent blue ceramic tiles.
