I love to travel too, and i can say that is more cheaper than people used to think, I love this locations that you suggest, alaska is unbelievable, but i must say that i like hot weather than cold. One destination on South America that is amazing is Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, they use to call as "The Wonderful City", and i agree with them... that place is something else.
