How to Choose the Best Beach Resorts
Posted on | January 14, 2010 | 9 Comments

No matter your beach destination, choosing the best beach resorts is essential to have a great beach holiday. Beach resorts are different from each other; some beach resorts offer an all inclusive plan while others resorts offer a private beach among their amenities. Prepare to have the best beach resort holiday. Here are some tips:
First of all you have to know what you are really looking for in a beach resort; cozy rooms, big pool, kids club, private beach, 24 hour room service or anything else that you want.
Now that you have a list of the amenities you want for a beach resort is time to start searching the best beach resort, to do that you only have to do the search in websites like Expedia, Orbitz or Tavelocity and select the advanced search criteria with all the amenities you want for the beach resort.
Ok, we’re doing fine. At this time you should have a list of beach resorts you’ve selected from your search on the travel sites, but before start booking you must read a couple of reviews about these beach resorts, and to do that there are plenty of websites with reviews and articles about hotels, resorts and destinations, you can try Mybeachconcierge.com to get some advice.
Now is time to book your beach resort and next, in order to be sure to enjoy your stay at a beach resort, write a complete list of everything you want to bring with you, remember to carry with you a couple of swimsuits, extra money, dress clothes, a calling card, sandals and shoes and just in case, some aspirins for the hangover.
Enjoy your next Beach Resort holiday!

I would not think of Honolulu (Oahu) for quiet, uncrowded beaches, although the North Shore is like that, but there is not really any place nice to stay.
My suggestion would rather be Maui, and getting a small condo for 3 for under $1,000 (depending on time of year) is also doable. Package deals (air, transfer or car AND condo) are usually the smartest way to go in order to save money.
Food is typically expensive, since almost everything is flown in, so suggest buying things at supermarket (still higher than in the continental U.S.) and f. i. having breakfast, snacks at the condo.
If you still decide to go to Oahu, there is a BUS which goes around the island which is extremely inexpensive.
For more infos and help with locating a great package for you, feel free to contact me. I've been to all Hawaiian Islands and can give you honest feedback:)

Affordable, clean & roomy casitas, nice beach/ swimming pool, safe & crowds were hardly a problem. (–,)

I just returned from a Disney World vacation and my wife and I stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort ourselves. Before I offer our opinion of the place, let me direct you to this page (http://www.intercot.com/resorts/disney/maps/images/caribbeanbeach07.JPG) which is a map of the CBR resort.
If you look at that map of the resort, you can probably easily pick out what would be the most requested areas for people to stay in, which are Martinique and Trinidad North. These sections are the closest to Old Port Royale (which is the main area for the food court, swimming pool, shopping area, and so forth). You can try faxing a room request in a few days prior to your stay, but they may not be able to fulfill it. I had faxed in my own request and we were instead given rooms in the Aruba area (building 53), which was across the lake and quite a walk from Old Port Royale. You may want to consider specifically requesting Jamaica (building 45) or Aruba (building 51) as these are across the lake from Old Port Royale….BUT…..they are the closest buildings to the bridge that crosses the lake so your walk to OPR wouldn't be as long.

Now, just a quick personal review of the resort: My wife and I were quite disappointed with our stay. The outside, overall appearance of the resort is beautiful. Very clean, very nice looking. But it's the rooms themselves that's the problem. The beds are way too small. The bathrooms are way too small. The housekeeping left a lot to be desired, with dirt in the corners and cracked tiles. We had to call the front desk at least twice to have broken things replaced/fixed, and in another room someone else who was traveling with us said they found someone's dirty socks under their bed. We ate the food court just once, where there weren't many food options and some of the employees in there were rude to us.
Needless to say, we would not go out of our way to stay in this resort again. We typically choose the "deluxe" resorts and have never had these kinds of issues there.
Hope you enjoy your stay and your vacation!

For a Honeymoon, go with Sandals. They are couples only. Beaches is for families with kids.

Hi mandel.
I have stayed in both, here's my advice.
Bayview Beach Hotel.
Further away from town, 40 minutes plus.
A more secluded area.
Cleaner beach.
Cleaner hotel.
Better service.
In the main tourist spot of Batu Ferringhi
Sandy Bay
The only thing i can think of is that it's nearer to town. 20 mins plus.
Enjoy yr trip!
