Kenya is the most popular safari destination in Africa due to its people, fauna and scenic savannah landscapes. Kenya is the original home of classic Africa safari holidays (safari means travel in Swahili) done by first Africa explorers.
It is even thought that Man’s primordial ancestors may well have originated in Turkana, Northern Kenya as long as five million years ago. Needless to say, one can enjoy some of the most attractive sights of the wild world while on a Kenya safari and wildlife Safari budget vacations
Why prefer a Kenya safari tour?
A huge wildlife reservoir The Masai Mara National Reserve Kenya preserves some of the highest concentrations of wildlife in the world. And its attraction lies not only in the annual wildebeest migration, but also in its abundance of lions and all other members of the Big Five – leopard, cheetah, rhinoceros and hippopotamus, making Masai Mara safari a must tour national park while on a safari in Kenya. It is, indeed on top of the pick when travelers want to see a great Kenya safari. An alternative way to see the wildlife is by a hot air balloon safari.
A bird-watcher’s safari paradise: The birding fans can have the best of the winged world while on a Kenya Safari. The Samburu National Reserve in Kenya is home to hundreds of species of the feathered creatures, making it an ideal birdwatching safari destination for the bird lover. Some of the animals that are also frequently seen in the reserve include lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, impalas, buffalo, hippos, zebras and giraffes.
The Mount Kenya is for all those adventure safari freaks that crave for height and love trekking and tracking. And despite its rank as the second highest peak in Africa, Mount Kenya is friendly to the climbers. It doesn’t take a professional mountaineer to enjoy the beauty of the mountain; however, a physically fit body and a guide are some essential requirements.
The marvelous beaches: Imagine hitting the beach after that dusty and hot safari to Kenya. And it is not only the Kenya Safaris that are reputable, but the Kenya beaches are a major draw as well. They boast long stretches of soft white sand beaches, charming islands, and reefs, great for diving and snorkeling.

hi there,
Good to hear that you want to come for a one week safari to Kenya. I am a tour guide / consultant in Nairobi Kenya specialising last minute and budget safaris. I can assist you with your safari. Your UK driving licence can be used locally here. The cost for self-drive car for one week rental will cost you about US$ 880.(fuel not included). For the safari i will need you to be more specific like your main areas of interest and the type of accommodation you require but i can give you a rough estimate of US$ 3000 (car included). This is a really rough estimate. Depending on what you want we can work out the specifics feel free to consult me further. Don't worry about the floods there are no floods currently. The Safari circuit is quit safe. For accommodations you need to get prior bookings i can do this for you once we confirm the dates. Get me at xkcox@yahoo.com for further consultations. Waiting to hear from you soon.

You can expect to spend anywhere from $500–$3000 depending on a number of variables; the amount of money you need for the safari really depends on where you are staying (luxury, lodge, or camping) and which park you are visiting, for how long, and whether you go privately or with a prepackage trip.–let me know some more detials and I can better answer that..

If you book with an agent before you go, then you will be paying comissions all the way…to the agent, to the tour company and then to the wholesaler…why not try going direct to the ground operator in Nairobi..as they are the actual operators of the safaris….I used to be in the safari business in Tanzania and many clients came direct, saving approx 35%….to find a reputable operator read the forums on trip advisor, I find this is a really good advise area for Africa.
