Posted on | January 9, 2010 | 9 Comments

The Philippines is composed of 7,107 beautiful islands stretching from the Batanes Islands to the north and Tawi-Tawi to the south. It is not surprising that the Philippines is replete with beautiful, white-sand beaches from the islands’ coastline which would stretch for a thousand kilometers if lined from end to end. These beaches are already well known that they are listed in the top Philippine travel destinations.
Some of these world-class beaches are located in Boracay Island, the islands of El-Nido, and in the Siargao Island (the surfing capital of the Philippines. Commonly shared features of these top Philippine beaches are white-sand coastlines, an awe-inspiring vista, and crystal-clear, blue waters that evoke a feeling of outright relaxation upon seeing them.
Although some of these beaches are heavily commercialized, others are still hidden from the eyes of human commerce thus preserving their natural beauty. To name a few of these islands, Higatangan Island and Cuatros Islas in Southern Leyte is visited every now and then by local “beach-goers.” Travelers on a budget can go there for a day or two for a simple yet memorable beach travel experience. Malapascua Island in Northern Cebu is steadily attracting a handful of visitors, but the stay there is still serene and, of course, enjoyable.
One can easily find his way to the top Philippine beaches but, in order to find the local ones, a traveler needs just little diligent search with the help of locals. Do not think of the fuss as one gets rewarded with a sight of these beautiful hidden beaches once you get to locate them. From there, forget the rest of the world and relax like you have never relaxed before.
7, 107 beaches is a lot when choosing your next beach destination. For those travelers on a budget, start with the local beaches, then set your eyes upon the top Philippine beaches after as an incentive for yourself. For those with money to spend, enjoy, tour, travel, relax, experience combing the shores of the top beaches – go all the way.

if you think of going to the famous beaches where foreginers frequent like Boracay, Bohol, El Nido no they're used to that.

Filipino's just love to haggle. Be it in a swanky shop or in a lowly hole in the wall vendor at divisoria. Allowable or not, we will haggle, and haggle, and haggle.

the best thing about Boracay is the fine sand. it just feels right when walking on the shore… and there's just too many activities to do aside from the usual swimming and sun bathing. the night life is pretty vibrant because all the clubs and bars are all on the shoreline.
it's also the best place to get wasted and not be ashamed of it. since it's crowded, chances are the singles are looking to hook up with someone… for the ones going as a couple, doing it on an island paradise is as romantic as it gets.
