Tips For Your Next Vacation

So it’s time to plan that long awaited for vacation. Here are some tips and ideas that you can use for your next vacation.
Long Distance Vacation At London
How about having a vacation at London? There are many wonderful sights to see in London. There are historical buildings, world class museums and terrific shopping outlets. You can explore the streets and go on a river cruise down the Thames. Nearly all the major streets of London have an interesting past, as shown by the blue plaques which hang outside the houses where famous people lived. You could spend a London vacation just going from one plaque to the next. Wander down Baker Street and see where Sherlock Holmes lived and worked on his murder cases.
Many tourists are attracted to a London vacation because of the British Royal Family. Iconic images of London are everywhere and a London vacation should include seeing the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and St.Paul’s Cathedral. Buckingham Palace is an official residence where you can see the colorful Changing of the Guard and go on guided tours of the Palace. The Tower of London houses the Royal Jewels. The heritage and historical significance of London doesn’t stop it from being a cosmopolitan, vibrant city.
Fans of designer clothes and jewelry will have a ball. A London vacation offers a cultural mix of classical music concerts, opera, ballet, jazz, and rock music in internationally known venues. Every cuisine is represented here, from Hungarian to Vietnamese. A London vacation is also remembered for red, double decker buses, black taxi cabs, and the distinctive maps of the underground trains.
You can expand your knowledge with trips round the various museums on a London vacation. There are museums for Science, Natural History etc., and the British Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum. The kids will also enjoy a London vacation. Madame Tussauds will entertain them with its assortment of wax works, particularly in the gory Chamber of Horrors.
A trip to London is not cheap, especially the airfare. But there are ways to save money. When I get the weekend newspaper, the very first section I dive for is the travel section. Research has proven to me that there can be some amazing vacation deals to be found. Research vacations on the internet and tons of sites jump out at you. For those people who enjoy doing their own research and planning their own trips, there are so many vacation deals to be found, but proceed with caution.
The first thing you may want to consider is making your travel plans as early as possible. If you plan early, you may get some cheap airline travel deals. With airline travel deals, it may actually be cheaper to travel by plane rather than automobile. Nowadays, the price of airline travel greatly influences where you decide to spend your family vacation. Here are some tricks that can help you to save a great deal in your air travel expenses.
- If you purchase your airline tickets at least twenty-one days in advance, you’ll have a have a much greater chance of a lower rate.
- Flexibility about travel times can also bring big savings.
- Traveling off-season will also bring airline travel deals. This is because during the times when fewer people want to travel, airlines are eager to ensure steady profits. Because of this fact airline travel tickets are often cheaper during this time.
- If you’re willing to travel on the less popular early morning or late evening flights the price of your ticket will lower in cost.
- If you are going to a popular travel destination, see if you can arrange for your hotel, and travel accommodations to be in a package deal. Often times airline travel deals can be found in these package deals. In addition, these packages may supply you with extra privileges such as tickets to a theme park or show as well that you were planning on paying for separately.
The most important thing to remember when trying to ensure airline travel deals is if you don’t ask, you don’t get. It’s not rude or impolite to ask the person you’re booking the flight with if what you’re paying for is the best deal, it’s frugal.
If you want to keep more money in your own pockets following these ideas will certainly help. Remember, if you don’t look for the best airline travel deals, no one else will do it for you.

You need to get a Japan Rail Pass which gives you unlimited travel for the time you opt to purchase for………1 week, or 2 or 3 weeks .If you are just going to be on Honshu Island you can actually get a pass that is a bit cheaper just for that island. You could also look at the JAL flight passes but you miss the scenery if you fly.You must buy this Pass in YOUR country…………..you cannot buy them in Japan and you will save yourself a huge amount of money.
Look around Tokyo ………and do take a day trip to Kamakura…….go to the Tsukiji Fish Market on the way.
If you plan to go to Kyoto which is gorgeous you can mostly walk if you choose accommodation in a good location. There are maps with walking routes you get at the station. You won't get top see it all just do one section – we opted for the area near Murayama Park. There are so many shrines, temples gardens etc near here.
Catch the bus to Fuji go ko – Fuji Five Lakes…it is only an hour and a half and just beautiful …….at the base of Mt Fuji. Then take the bus to Gotemba which is a beautiful trip round the base of Mt Fuji through old traditional villages with thatched cottages etc.Change to a bus for Mishima – just catch the bus behind they call it Station 2 to Station 3.but was quite literally just the bus behind the one we got off. This bus takes you right to the Shinkansen which you can catch through to Kyoto.
If you go to Osaka, you should try and go further on to Himeji and see the castle …………probably the best in Japan and the Shrine and then on to Osaka. You could go on a little further to Okayama which has one of japan's best gardens but from Okayama you can take an ordinary train to Kurashiki – only 30 minutes ……..which is a really beautiful Edo period town.

I live less than 10 minutes from Epcot. The storm in Orlando has just been 20 mph winds and rain. There hasn't been any flooding or wind damage in this area. Disney, SeaWorld and Universal have been open regular business hours every day and I'm sure they have no plans to change that just because of a little rain.
Local weather says this storm should be past us by tomorrow with a little luck but more likely Sunday. You shouldn't have anything to worry about with Fay by next week.
Our normal weather pattern for this time of year is rain for about an hour in the afternoon, in fact it's usually a pretty spectacular thunderstorm but it only lasts about an hour. The storms usually hit late afternoon around 3-4pm. It's also pretty hot down here right now. We've been in the low 90's with high humidity so make sure you dress light and stay hydrated.
Welcome to Orlando and enjoy your stay!

Here are a couple of tips from our own experience:
1. most importantly: call the airline and try to get a bassinette, and at least one seat next to it(that's the crib that attaches to the wall in front of the bulk head seats). the bassinette itself will probably be too small for your child to actually sleep in, but will hold all the extra stuff that comes along with a toddler. moreover, the extra leg room will give your toddler more space to play that is NOT your lap or the aisle…
plus, the more energy they spend, the more likely they are to fall asleep at some point…
note: bulk head seats are usually booked first because there's more leg room there, but parents with infants on-lap (younger than 2 years) have priority to these seats on most airlines. if you can't book the seat in advance, don't dispair – you can still get it upon check in: come in early and insist on it!
2. try to keep the child's routine as close to normal as possible. keep meal times and nap times as close as you can to your "home time". bring small packs of favorite foods and snacks with you, as plane food is not likely to top your kids list… you can heat up baby food by putting the container in a small cup filled with a half-inch to an inch of boiling water and stirring the contents. "Gerber" containers fit perfectly, or you could use the small, round, 4-oz disposable plastic containers (like "Glad" or such) which also fit in the coffee cups provided on airplanes.
3. of course, if your child has a favorite toy, stuffed animal, blankie etc., have it with you on board.
4. get a bunch of new, real-cheap little toys that you wouldn't mind losing / throwing away by the end of the trip. introduce a new one every hour or so — it'll buy you precious time! i'd put under this category also some little arts & crafts items, like stickers and crayons.
5. have at least two full changes of baby clothes and lots of extra diapers with you, as well as a small "baby-bath travel kit", just in case your layover gets extended, your suitecases go astray, and so on… i'd also take an extra shirt for mom and dad, for any unfortunate accidents.
6. on the plane, don't be shy – let baby run up and down the isles. fighting it won't help anyway, and the excersize is good for you both
7. talk to your pediatritian about baby-safe antihistamines – a small dosage may be all the help baby needs to get drowsy and sleep better when they're already over-tired, but the strange environment won't let them fall asleep…
8. take a deep breath, and remind yourself that, as hard as this one day may be, it's only one day of travel, and it, too, shall pass!
good luck!
