Technically they can survive a couple of days without, but we just take ours with us. He rides on the dashboard of the car. It took a couple of times for him to get used to it and not get to that point where he wouldn't eat for a while after the ride, but now he's fine. We just bought a small dog carrier and put a towel in the bottom. We take his lights and anything he will need. We just don't always buy crickets on those weekends. He may eat only vegetables. When he was smaller, we carried him in a big plastic tub that we put some of his sand in. Then we just attached his light to the side and brought something for him to get on for sunbathing. It all worked out for us, and we travel ALOT since we are in college.

Yes. Ignore the silly, childish answers.

When your daily routine is disrupted, either from diet, schedule or location, your normal digestion is changed, also.

And it's normal even when not on vacation; we don't eat the same things in the same amounts all of the time.

Our bowels are not controlled by a clock, it depends on a number of factors, such as the amount of fiber, when we eat, when we go to bed, how much liquid we consume, etc.

Don't obsess on your bowels, as long as you have normal elimination, it's not really a problem.

Find an out of the way Caribbean Island. Don't do the touristy ST Croix, hit somewhere like St. Johns island. It is fairly inexpensive to stay there and you can take a ferry to other places like St Thomas and St Martin to party and shop.

bring your swimsuit, sunblock, sunglasses, a hat, 2 towels (one to lay on the sand and the other to dry of with if you use the same one that you laid on the ground you will get sand all over you), rafts, snacks and drinks in a cooler, first aid (just in case you step on something), umbrella (that will give you shade or protect you from rain), beach ball,or any other beach games. Packing all of this stuff may make your trip feel overwhelming, but trust me it will come in handy! have a fun trip the beach is so fun!
